Candidate - Alexandra Odulyak-Petrenko - The Council became full in 2022
November 08, 2022
Good evening Christ,
I will try to tell a little about myself (but not too much, it would not be boring).
I was born in 1967 in New York and my relatives enrolled me in Plast when I was 6/7 years old. From that time, as a Novice, later as a Young Girl (2nd kurin), she participated in camps, St. Vesna, Orlykiyada. When I became the Senior Plastunka, I fell away from Plast, but not from the community. I worked at Soyuzivka, and at the university I studied Liberal Arts (Major) + Minor English Literature. I worked in "Publishing" and eventually moved to Toronto. (fell in Love, got married, moved, you gotta follow your heart).
The Plast community in Toronto is very lively and our children have participated in Plast from an early age (and now in Youth and Senior Plast). Due to the fact that our children were in Plast, I naturally also "unofficially" participated (Kolyada, swarming Mama, cleaning the house in Grafton, Ontario - yeah that was fun). Now I have time to think about where I belong. It is important for me to continue working in Plast, to have company, and to attract others who have remained in Plast, especially outside the Youth. I know quite a lot of Spartan women, so I
naturally wanted to connect with a smoker.... But besides that, there is an opportunity to connect more Canadian and American Plastuns.
My project will be related to this topic. I would be happy to submit my ideas, when and to whom to contact.
Also, I have been a member of Plast for years, and I have already informed Plast Canada KPS that I want to become a member of the Senior Plastunsky Kuren.
Thank you for your time and if someone else needs to send more information, please let me know!
Thank you very much,
Alexandra
